DWS Introduces a New Meeting Format in 2017

2nd Tuesday Quarterly Meetings will now replace our previous monthly meetings. This change to quarterly sessions, each starting at 10:00 am and ending at 2:00 pm will allow each of you more time to participate in our newly designed forums and explore various facets of aqueous media art. A new topic will be explored in depth during each quarterly meeting. The expanded length of these meetings will allow for presentations, demonstrations and the opportunity to apply this knowledge in practice sessions. Getting to know your fellow members is another anticipated benefit of this change.

Preparing Paintings for Exhibitions

The focus will be on helping you prepare your paintings for entry into juried exhibitions.

  • Framing Dos and Don’ts
  • Understanding the Jurying Process

Topic To Be Announced

   

We ask that you arrive at 9:45 am so that you can set up your painting area in advance. Each member will receive a materials list which will accompany the Forum announcement. The Forum will start promptly at 10:00 am. Beverages will be provided, please bring your lunch with you. A refrigerator is on-site if needed. The forums are free to members; the non-member fee is $20.00 per quarterly meeting. The 2nd Tuesday Quarterly meetings will be held at the Glade Clubhouse, 16 Glade Farm Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971

Bring your unfinished or completed works private review by an experienced DWS member. Helpful guidance and insight will be provided. Please remember that those items presented for critique may not be submitted to the DWS Signature Jury.
